Retail chain stores commonly experience dead stock inventory accumulation due to the absence of indicators and decision rules in management system track down impact potential stocks when left “unattended” or “unmanaged” warehouse. Potential are items that either near-expiry, near its end-of-season, end product market life cycle, simply slow moving which will soon become warehouse if not managed a timely manner. Most retail systems have focused on fighting fire rather than developing standardized process manage inventories prevent from becoming stocks.
